- Acertek is a manufacturer of brake beams for
railroad freight cars. Acertek is ISO 9001 certified, and has received
the TTX SECO award.
- Bretzel's
World Wide Attic has lists of railroad cars, steam and diesel
locomotives, and more for sale.
- Business Publishers, Inc. - Transportation Newsletters
has information on several transportation newsletters, including U.S. Rail
News, Urban Transport News, Inside DOT & Transportation Week, and
HazMat Transport News. BPI is an independent publisher of
approximately 50 newsletters and publications in a variety of fields.
- Classic Rail Cars owns and operates nine railroad
passenger cars that are available for lease or charter. In addition,
CRC will operate a number of excursions in 1996. Destinations planned
include the NRHS convention being held at the Spencer Shops in Spencer,
NC.
- Corporate
Strategies, Inc. is a rail transportation consulting group
that specializes in railroad freight, passenger, commuter, and high
speed rail operations simulation, and economic and financial analysis
both domestically and abroad. CSI also develops commercial railroad
related software and a retail locomotive engineer simulation program

Corporation consists of General American Transportation,
GATX Capital, GATX Terminals, GATX Logistics, and American
Steamship. GATX focuses on helping their customers transport, store,
or distribute products. GATX offers services that include railcar

Transportation Systems (GETS) is headquartered in Erie,
Pennsylvania, and is a supplier of surface transportation equipment.
GETS designs and manufactures diesel-electric, electric, AC and DC
freight and passenger locomotives, motorized wheel systems for mining
trucks, electric propulsion and auxiliary power systems for transit
vehicles, rail signaling and communication systems, motors and
generators for oil well rigs, and diesel engines for stationary and

the UK Railway Industry, including freight, passenger, and
suppliers.
- United Railway Signal Group provides signal design

customers.

- Great American
Train Show Home Page has information, including a schedule,
of train shows promoted by GATS Limited. Their train shows emphasize
model trains. Their shows include the Great American Train Show, Great
Midwest Train Show, Great Western Train Show, and Great Pacific Train
Show.
- Railroadiana Events is a listing of upcoming
railroadiana events provided by Rob Hoffer. Railroadiana is a term
that refers to railroad-related collectibles.

timetables and miscellaneous other railfan items.
- Atlas
Model Railroad Company is the official source of information
on the company. Available information includes what's new, a newsletter,

Hobbies is a hobby store in Denver, Colorado. Among
numerous other items, this site features a list of out of print
railroad books for sale on consignment.
- Como Shops Out of Print Books has over 500 out of
print railroad books for sale. Como Shops also has around 500 new
books for sale at 20% off list prices. Como Shops is maintained by

model railroaders. Available information includes their model

up-to-date information on what's hot in model railroading.
- Palatine Hobby, Ltd. is the Main Menu for this
hobby store in the Chicago area. The Railroad Page features products
from railroad historical societies (including the Burlington Route

- The 7+ Narrow Gauger is a site dealing with
model railroading in scales large enough on which to ride, live
steamers, and garden railroading. It also describes a quarterly
publication devoted to the hobby.
- Train
Dispatcher Railroad Computer Game simulates a 24-hour shift
to control train traffic on the Northeast Rail Corridor. Actual Amtrak
passenger schedules are used with stops at six major stations between
Washington DC and Philadelphia.
- TrainMaster Railroad Computer Game is a PC based
computer simulation model that realistically replicates actual train
handling and locomotive response on real North American rail lines.
Graphics and realistic sound provide a sense and feel of actually
