Introduction

This document has been prepared in support of my application for tenure at Minnesota State University, Mankato (MSU,M).

I joined MSU,M’s Computer and Information Sciences faculty in August 2000 after working for 15 years at MSU,M as a Non-Tenure Track (NTT) faculty member in the Information Technology Department (formerly Computer Services) as the Macintosh and statistical consultant for the University. After completing my fifth year in the CIS department, I have demonstrated significant contributions in the five criteria as detailed in the IFO & MSU,M master contract. Those criterion are teaching, research, continuing preparation and study, student growth and development, and service to university and community. I am applying for tenure at this time after receiving a promotion to Associate Professor in 1998. The evidence presented will demonstrate my achievements and progress as a faculty member with regard to tenure. The evidence presented is linked to pages and/or images outlining my achievements, philosophies, and potential in each of the criterion.

Each section begins with a brief narrative of my achievements and competencies in that criteria followed by supporting material.
