Creating a Community Planning Guide

Review the Minneapolis Plan & Guide and read T.J. Schlereth (1981) “Burnham’s Plan and Moody’s Manual: City planning as progressive reform,” Journal of the American Planning Association, 47(1), 70-.

Now, return to the community comprehensive plan that your reviewed earlier. Create a Community Planning Guide for that plan. As part of the process, consider:

· Key message/talking points

· Intended audience(s)

· Intended use(s)

· Channel(s) of communication & distribution

You will produce a mock-up of your planning guide, including proposed copy and using graphics in your design as appropriate, and submit it to me by the date scheduled for final exams.
