The global sounds of the World Music movement are creating a trans-cultural fusion music blending the sonic palette of all cultures to create new sounds of global harmony.

My personal contribution to this musical genre over the past seven years has been to volunteer as Host/ Producer for the World Beat , a 2 hour world music radio program. Check out my World Beat playlists to see the music that I broadcast on my radio show and to explore links to some of the great World Music record labels.

The World Beat is broadcast Saturday nights at 7 pm on Southern Minnesota's True Alternative, the Maverick Radio Network , KMSU 89.7 FM / Mankato MN & KMSK 91.3 FM / Austin

The World's Population Counter is a computer program runningon sunsite at the Universtiy of North Carolina that provides an accurate estimation of Earth's population. The number above is updated every 30 seconds.

The Population Bomb is an interesting web site by Paul Ehrlich dedicated to the study of Earth's population explosion.

During the last couple of years I've been following cyber-issues by reading these Cyber-rights mailing lists.

Cyber-Rights is a of Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility , an organization of concerned computer professionals working to provide the public and policy makers with realistic assessments of the power, promise, and limitations of computer technology.


Voters Telecommunications Watch and Electronic Privacy Information Center are up-to-date primary sources for learning about your Cyber Rights and for keeping up with Cyber issues as they move through government.

Your basic Cyber rights basic rights are:

• The right to assemble in online communities
• The right to speak freely
• The right to privacy online
• The right to access regardless of income, location, or disability
