Next SAGE Meeting:
Officer elections will be held on Monday, April 24th. Please use the anonymous nomination form on our website or email SAGE@mnsu.edu right away. Nomination period ends at 5pm Monday April 17th, prior to our meeting; nominees must attend this meeting to accept or decline nominations. Voting times and constitutional amendments will also be discussed at this meeting, as well as final planning for Rainbow Night.

Rainbow Night 2006 - April 21, 6:00pm to 1:00am
VFW/Morson Ario (1900 N. Riverfront Drive, Mankato, MN)
6:00PM Rainbow Families Potluck
ALL are welcome! Please bring a dish to pass. Beverages provided. No alcohol allowed. Suggested $3 donation.
7:00PM Rainbow Youth Dance
Youth up to 18 years old. No alcohol allowed. Suggested $3 donation.
10:00PM Queer Prom: Kings and Queens! “Dress in Drag and have a GAY ol’ Time!”
$5-$10 to enter. 18+ (21+ to drink) Valid ID required: No exceptions. Bring cash for Dance Auction and other fun games and prizes.

National Day of Silence: (dayofsilence.org)
SAGE will again co-sponsor the Day of Silence on April 26th at MSU. This is an important activism opportunity when we remain silent all day to illustrate the effects of homophobia on LGBTQQA people who are forced to be closeted or remain silent/ambiguous about their orientation. Buttons/signs or other materials will be provided in the LGBT Center or if you email sage@mnsu.edu We strongly encourage our allies and other community members to join us on April 26th in remaining silent.

Outfront MN JustFair Lobby Day :
Wow, has it been a year already? And so much work to be done yet! April 27th you should be at the Minnesota State Capital to help rally against adding an amendment to our state constitution limiting marriage to "between one man and one woman." Contact the LGBT Center at 507-389-5131 to join the "Outfront Caravan." Regardless if you can attend or not, please visit the Outfront.org website and locate your local representatives to persuade them to defeat any such attempts at discrimination. Unlike Day of Silence, you should use your voice loud and proud on April 27th! Join us, and/or support us in our struggle for equality.

SAGE Social Sundays:
The next event is Sunday, April 30th, 8:00 PM at the Coffee Hag. Get involved with SAGE, meet people, and build community (more details on the website).

South Central MN Pride:
This year's Pride events will be September 15-17, 2006. To get involved, email James at southcentralmnpride@gmail.com ASAP.
