The Julia Robinson Mathematics Festivals (JRMF) are named after Dr. Julia Robinson, a former mathematics professor at UC Berkeley, famous for her solution of Hilbert’s tenth problem. The JRMF is part of Educational Program of the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI) at UC, Berkeley. The Mathematics and Statistics Department at Minnesota State University, Mankato will be hosting a Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival on Saturday, November 12, 2011 from 1pm to 5pm in Wissink Hall. The event is free for everyone, and all ages are welcome to participate in mathematical activities at the festival. |
