Explaining Yourself

Okay, so you know what you want to do and you have found (several, one hopes) potential partners.

Now, you have to lay your fishing lure right across their path—Write your problem statement.

1.      Build it with three key statements—

a.       The problem is….

b.      The problem is caused by…

c.       Long-term, with no intervention…

2.      Close with a statement of hope

3.      It doesn’t hurt if you can “make the reviewer cry”

In other words, be specific and concrete; document your case and make it personal.
