NPL 273  Introduction to Nonprofit Leadership

Cumbria

Sometimes it isn’t easy to figure out what is the right thing—much less to do it!

You are about to enter the world of Maria Miskevitch and the Cumbrian Cultural Endowment Foundation.  You will work alongside her as she struggles to do what is right in a situation where “what is right” is not so readily apparent.

You will form into groups of 3 (using the Discussion Board on D2L).  Both the discussion subgroups and the case study will be found on D2L.  You will meet in your subgroups to discuss the case and the questions I pose for analyzing the case.  As a group, you will post your response to the questions to the entire class on the Discussion Board.

The points for this project (a possible 5) will be earned by your entire subgroup.  You will earn full points not only for the quality of your subgroup’s answers (I will be looking for how well you apply the concepts that you have been reading in the text to the facts as given in the case), but also for your group’s contribution to the rest of the class as we all explore our solutions to the problems presented by the case.  In other words, coming up with the best solution in the class counts; but so does helping the rest of the class come up with an even better solution.
