THE MOVIE PRICER DICERS

These two teams met separately at first and then increasingly worked together. Lower movie prices is a big issue at Dakota Meadows. TTT wrote letters to movie theaters and found out some were willing to meet. MPD also wrote letters and did a survey through out the school.The survey showed strong support for lower movie prices. They met with several theater managers and presented their idea of a special teen price for certain times. The theaters said they could not do this because Hollywood set the prices. This was disappointing but the teams ended the year reflecting on how much they had had grown as a team the tteps they took and what they learned.

This group wants to help found a teen center in Mankato. They started out as two teams but soon joined up. They toured some possible sites.They learned some things about the democratic process, government, and other skills that will be useful in everyday life. PA was a great learning experience for the kids and the coaches.
