South Asian Night

$5 for MSU students, faculty and staff; $6 for general admission; free for children under 5. Tickets will go on sale at CSU & ISA Office (CSU 264) next week and will also be available at the door. The night will be filled with entertainment, performances and food from South Asia.
Cultural Charisma: A Movie about The Korean War

The movie is about the conflicts between two brothers as they struggle through the Korean War in 1950 when North Korea invaded South Korea. The movie portraits Korean family values, sacrifices and hardship during the war.
ISA Olympics

The Development of Western Classical and Jazz Music in Asia, and Iraq by Gene Aitken

Dr. Gene Aitken is the ex-Director of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music in the National University of Singapore. Over the years, his works at various Southeast Asian countries as well as China and the United States of America have provided him a rich experience particularly in jazz and classical music. On November 1, he will be presenting western classical and jazz music of Southeast Asia, East Asia and Iraq at the Halling Recital Hall from 2:00 to 2:50 p.m. Admission is free for all.
