Ise Royale Trip- It was an interesting trip. It started out with an easy drive to Grand Portage. Some of the club members even had to stop and harass some members of green peace at Sugar Loaf bay. I think that Chuck drop off a nude magazine for them. Once we got to Grand Portage, the lake was nice and calm. We pack the boats and started out for the island and then some problems began. Some boats were overloaded and then Cory’s boat broke down. The coupler between the engine and the outboard broke, so his boat became a barge. While Denney towed Cory’s boat to the island, the rest of us went ahead and found shelters. Our group ended up taking over Beaver Island (Morris in one shelter, the snorers in another, and the non-snorers in the other shelter). The diving was great. The club explored the Cox, Chisholm, Cumberland, and the America. We where going to dive the Glenlyon, but the wind was blowing from the South West and it would been a rough trip. The week finally came to an end and we headed back for the main land. Everyone had to adjust for extra gear and extra person due to boat problems. The crossing was a little rough but we made it across with no problems. Once back everyone relaxed the rest of the day and the next morning made the trip back home. Thanks go out to all who help out on the trip. This makes the trip a lot more enjoyable.
