Next Club Meeting is February 12th 8:00 pm.

Life Membership-Three club members have obtained there life memberships. They are Jim Zabel, Denny Javens, and Jon Campion. If any other members would like to be life member, here are the qualifications. If you are 50, it will be $200 or if you are 55, it will be $100.

Dive Into the Past- The date has been set. GLSPS dive into the past show is going to be February 23^rd at the AmericInn Hotel and Mermaid Entertainment & Event Center in Mounds View, MN. If you would like more information on this event, please go to the web site glsps.org and click on the dive into the past show 2008.

Confined Open Water training (Spring Class)- Class is filling up, so you better sign up now.

Owatonna Community Education is handling the booking of the class. To register, go to owatonna.revtrak.net and then click on adult recreation. There should be the open water scuba diving certification link. Click it and fill out the form. You also can call at 507-444-7900. Tank Inspection and Hydro’s- It is tank inspection time. To speed up the hydro process this year, please check your tanks to see when the last hydro was. If it was on or before 2003, it is time for a hydro again. Please bring them down to the club, so we can get a batch ready to go to hydro by the end of January. If you can help inspect tanks, please stop down on Thursday nights and help. Thanks.

Discover Scuba-The discover scuba class is just around the corner. It will be on Wednesday night, February 6^th starting with the introductory class at 6:00 with the pool at 7:00pm at the Junior High School. Cory Monahan need several helpers that evening, so please come down and help out. If you have not sign up for the class, contact Owatonna Community Ed to see if there is still room. Summer dive trips- At the last club meeting, Don Matejcek has set up the dates for Isle Royale and Bayfield, so you can mark your calendar now and plan ahead for vacation. Isle Royale is going to be July 9^th-13^th and Bayfield is going to be August 6^th -10^th. The club is talking about going up to the Keweenaw Peninsula(diving the Mesquite) instead of going to Isle Royale. There is going to be more discussion at the next dive club meeting, so if you are interested, please attend the February meeting.

Spring Banquet-The club has set the date for the spring banquet. It is going to be on Sunday, April 13^th. Social Hour will start at 4:30 with supper at 5:30. It will be at the Associated Church in Owatonna.

Junior High Pool-There will be open swim at the pool the rest of January. The 23^rd will be musical tanks for anyone interested.

Milwaukee Dive Trip-The date has been set for the spring trip out to Milwaukee, WI. It is going to be April 18-21. If you would like to go or would like more information on the trip, please contact Cory Monahan at 507-271-2623 or email at cory@psicylinders.com. You can also stop down at the club building for more information also.
